A massage therapist in Las Vegas is facing child pornography charges.
The charges are based on an alleged photo of a child under the age of 14 that appeared on the Facebook page of the Las Vegas-based company.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael C. McBride, 56, on Monday.
McBreech, a Las Vegas resident, has worked at Las Vegas’ famed Likens Las Vegas since June of last year, according to his Facebook page.
McBride is charged with possession of child pornography, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possessing child pornography and receiving child pornography.
He was released on $5,000 bond.
A search of McBride’s home turned up a collection of child porn photos, a receipt for a massage, a video, a DVD, an electronic device and a laptop computer, according the Palm Beach Sheriff’s office.
“I don’t believe there’s any kind of pattern to these people that they’re doing this, and I think it’s all about money,” said Palm Beach Police Chief Mark DeRosario.
Police were alerted to McBride when they were called to a home at the intersection of South Sunset Boulevard and Paradise Valley Boulevard, near the resort’s hotel.
The Sheriff’s Department said McBride was in the area, but declined to say where or when.
“There’s no doubt that there are a lot of people out there that are doing this,” said DeRosary.
“I dont believe it’s a coincidence that there’s an incident where these people are in the same neighborhood.
Authorities said McBrees Facebook page shows he had worked for Likenses Las Vegas and other Las Vegas locations for more than 10 years.
According to the sheriff’s office, McBees Facebook account has more than 14,000 likes and more than 13,000 followers.
The sheriff’s department did not have a name for McBrousse.
McBride was placed on paid administrative leave on Thursday and was being investigated by the Sheriff’s Dept. and the Palm Beaches police department.
McBelts Facebook page has also been deactivated.
