With a $100,000 annual salary and an impressive social media presence, there’s no shortage of people who can afford to spend time with their masseuses.
But the idea of getting a massage in the back of a car or in the shower with a woman’s feet wrapped around your own is a new one for many.
“I’ve never really been into massage, but I’ve heard so many good things about massage, and so many people want to have it,” Ms Alsop said.
“So I just thought, why not?
Why not have a massage on a public beach?”
The $200,000-a-year spa was launched in July and the massage room is currently the most popular spot.
Ms AlSop is one of the first women in Melbourne to launch a massage room at a commercial venue, and she’s hoping to be able to expand it to more hotels, restaurants and hotels in the future.
“This is one way we can bring people together, because we’ve got the infrastructure and the space, so why not,” she said.
Ms Satt has already had a few clients, but she’s not satisfied with what she’s seen so far.
“The first time we went, I had to hold my breath for 15 minutes, just to get into the room,” she says.
The spa will have a private room and massage room with a double bed and two baths. “
It’s really easy to get in and out of and to relax, and the room is a really great way to do that.”

“And that is the one area where we’re definitely going to see some growth, because the number of people that want to go for massage is increasing every year,” she added.
Ms Clements hopes the new space will open up a lot more opportunities for women.
“As far as women are concerned, it’s really, really important that they feel safe, that they’re not alone and that they don’t have to hide from someone,” she explained.
“Women are so much more aware now that they can go out in public, so I’m really excited that we’ve made that really obvious.”
The salon has also welcomed the arrival of the “Nasty Woman”, a “cute” model with a large breasts who will be working for a few days.
“There are a lot of women that have said, ‘Well, you know, I want to do this for myself, but will it be like a regular massage?’
And I say, ‘Yeah, because that’s what women are looking for’,” Ms Ceps said.
Ms Clements says she and her clients were both surprised by how much the new room would change their lives.
“I thought it was pretty weird,” Ms Cples said.
“[But] the more that people are coming into it, the more I think it’s going to change people’s lives.”
The salon is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm, and Saturday from 11pm to 6am.
