You might not be a masseuse or massage therapist in your home state, but you’re definitely getting paid a lot.
A study from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) shows that the average salary for a massage therapist is around $100,000, and the average number of hours per week is just under seven hours.
While the pay gap may seem like a no-brainer, there’s a lot more to it than that.
PwC also found that the top-paying professions in the U.S. have more than doubled since 2007, with the average pay in the field increasing by nearly 50% in the last decade.
That’s despite the fact that many of these jobs require a lot of education and training, which often leads to less-than-ideal pay.
Here’s a rundown of the top salaries in the massage field: 1.

Massive massage therapist salaries and the pay for the top paid professionsIn addition to being paid a huge salary, massage therapists also earn more than most other jobs, and that’s because the field has grown in popularity over the past few decades.
In 2011, the average massage therapist’s salary was around $85,000.
In 2015, that number rose to $102,000 and in 2019, it was nearly $110,000 — an increase of more than 40%.
In 2020, the median salary for massage therapists in the US was $88,000; that number has since increased to $104,000 per year.
That increase is attributed to the rise in massage therapist schools and more people getting into the profession.
In the United Arab Emirates, the salaries for massage therapist are even higher, as the average paid is $110 in 2017.
The salaries of masseurs in Dubai have also risen significantly since the 1990s, according to the research firm.
According to PwCs report, massage therapist pay in Dubai has risen from $30,000 in 1993 to $80,000 last year.
The number of massage therapists working in the UAE increased by more than 3,000 over the same period.
In 2019, the number of people working as masseuses was nearly 2.3 million.
While it might seem like you’re getting paid more for the same job, it’s worth noting that the amount of time you’ll spend in the profession also varies based on the type of job you’re doing.
In some areas, you may spend about five to six hours a day in the salon, while in other areas, the work may take up to three hours a week.
And while some people work on a daily basis, many others spend their days in the salons office.
According the PwCI report, masseuses can earn between $30 and $45 per hour.
It also shows that if you’re looking to get a good massage for your money, you’ll need to spend some time learning how to make your job a little more enjoyable.
